Premier Photo Booths is very excited to announce the launch our newest, and possibly most exciting, feature yet: shareable GIFs! That’s right. You will now be able to almost instantaneously share the GIF of your photo booth session straight from our iPad Social Sharing Kiosk to Facebook, Twitter, text and email.
GIFs have always been one of our most popular features, and why wouldn’t they be? They put each individual photo session in a fun, neatly wrapped animation. Previously, you had to wait until after the event for us to post the animated GIFs to the event’s page. Even from there, they weren’t the easiest thing to share. You would have to save them to your computer and send them out individually. And who posts anything from their computer anymore? The world is mobile! A recent study showed that 71 percent of social media users access these via mobile devices. Not to mention, it is an instant gratification world we live in. We want to share it now, from the event. Not tomorrow.
We’ll start with Twitter GIF sharing because it is hands down the best for animated GIF compatibility. Seconds after your photo booth session is finished, your pictures will be combined in a single animation and displayed on our iPad Social Sharing Kiosk. From there you tap on the Twitter icon and log in. You will be able to customize your tweet by tagging your friends and the like, and then be able to hashtag until your heart is content — up to 140 characters, of course. Once you hit “Tweet” the kiosk will automatically log you out. Your GIF will instantly be posted online in your timeline. If you are an event coordinator, you can append tweets to tag yourself, or your brand, in every post, and you can include your event’s hashtag to organize all of the tweets.
Everybody has Facebook. There’s no way around it. Even people that hate it, have it. One reason to not like Facebook is its lack of GIF support. The social media service will not allow GIFs on timelines or in a gallery. Trust me, when it’s allowed, we will be the first to know, and will immediately be working on posting GIFs to Facebook. However, there are ways around it. From our iPad kiosk, you can still post a custom message with a link to your GIF that is hosted on a page all by itself. Your post will look like a standard post, as if you made it from your desktop computer. Similar to Twitter, you will log in to your Facebook account. After your make your post, you will be logged out. No worries about the user after you posting to your account.
You can also share your animated GIFs to yourself using text or email messages. This works like Facebook posting, and email and text sharing is quick and painless. After you make your selection from the kiosk, punch in your email or phone number and boom, your GIF has arrived. It’s a fun way to send your booth session to someone who couldn’t make the event, too, like a video postcard. Of course, you will be able to customize the message to the poor soul who’s missing out. With this method, you’ll be able to save your GIF to your phone or computer as well.
Instagram is another social media platform that isn’t GIF-friendly. That’s OK! Premier Photo Booths is here to save the day! As we know, Instagram does allow the uploading of videos. While we don’t want to give away all of our secrets, we assure you, with one extra step, we can do it.
From the start screen to the photo strip, we know brands love us for our ability to customize their colors and logos in every aspect of the photo booth experience. We are going to extend the service to shareable GIFs. You’ll be able to watermark your logo on the animation and have it willingly shared by your guests, from our kiosk, live from your event. That is organic content created, and shared, with your name on it!
We laid it out for you pretty good here, but if you happen to have any further questions, feel free to contact us with the form below, or at 813-444-7811.
